Has it been that long since Friday night Kress Store days that no one knows where Kress Street is? You have to be on it to get to Hamura Saimin).
Bethany Coma and Holly Ka‘iakapu (nope, no Bree Blake Friday…gotta work) were getting dirty while trying to familiarize themselves with the air comprssor and spray gun (yes, all purchased locally!) and had to cover over the loving hands cupping water that overflowed onto three selfless wahine in an etheral setting. So, what’s going to cover that piece?
Kudos to Ted Faigle, the Kaua‘i assistant governor of Rotary District 5000, the Rotary Club of Po‘ipu Beach and the Rotary Club of Kaua‘i (Dave Lister said they’re still green light on the Lights on Rice holiday parade!) for bringing back service projects after more than a year of shutdowns because of COVID-19. Dr. Kelly Robb (she said she’s the only pediatric chiropractor on the island, and even her twins — Kai and Simone — help with patients) discovered the panel telling the story of the Kukuiolono Park pavilion during a water break at the No. 6 tee box.
Johnny Gordines said the Kaua‘i County Farm Bureau is partnering with Kukui Grove Center to host a small (!!!) COVID-19-style fair (Laurie Ho said it’s “Memories of the Fair”!) at the shopping center Admissions Day weekend, Aug. 21.
OK, time to check out what’s new at the Pau Hana Market, today at 3 p.m. at Kukui Grove Center.
