Kudos to Kaua‘i Community College Chancellor Joseph Daisy, Vice-Chancellor of Student Affairs Margaret Sanchez, and the many hands that contributed to the success of the college’s fall informational ‘aha, where Dave Lister was doing a live broadcast on Star 94.3 (Denise Roberts of KQNG Radio had her two college students in tow).

Gary Elwood had his Atlanta Olympics shirt on. He even has an authentic set of Olympic coins from the Beijing Olympics.
Kaulana Mossman and her corps of angels pulled together the Kaua‘i Adult Day Health Center “Go for the Gold” Summer Olympic Games Friday, with medals being handed out to everyone who made the games. Kudos to all for all those happy faces. Rose Fune has her collection of nutcrackers in storage until Thanksgiving, and Clifton Hayashi always gets picked to do the honor thing like carrying the Olympic torch.
The Mo‘olello Murals artists (all three — Bethany Coma, Holly Ka‘iakapu and Bree Blake were there!) were out early Friday. What a great time to talk about the Kress Street Downtown Lihu‘e Night Market that’s coming up on Aug. 14 from 4 p.m. (go early, park across at the convention hall parking lot). Too early to talk story with Milton Ozaki this week.
More kudos to the Back to School Bash committee on wrapping this year’s campaign on Friday with about 400 people on the wait list. Kudos to Judy Cano for not wanting to let people go away empty-handed.
