PUHI — Portions of Kaneka Street fronting Chiefess Kamakahelei Middle School will be closed starting next week for resurfacing work.
The closure is scheduled from Wednesday, July 28 to Thursday, Aug. 12, weather permitting.
Road work is also to be done within portions of the Kaneka-Nuhou Street roundabout, the county Department of Public Works announced.
On Wednesday and Thursday, July 28 and 29, Nuhou Street will be closed from Ulu Maika Street to the roundabout. One-way traffic will flow Puhi-bound only on Nuhou Street, from Kaumuali‘i Highway to the roundabout, and the entire length of Kaneka Street.
From Friday, July 30 to Thursday, Aug. 12, on weekdays, single-lane closures along the entire length of Kaneka Street from the roundabout to Puhi Road should be expected. The remaining open lanes will accommodate alternating traffic in both directions.
