James Benkert of Eco eBike Kaua‘i (yes, his “office/showroom” used to be a comic book store) said his entire inventory of eBikes have been booked solid, and continues to be booked out…he said one of the renters even made the trek from the Grand Hyatt Kaua‘i to Wailua Falls and back, entirely on the eBike!

James took the place of Tommy Noyes at the latest Bikes on Rice event (they meet once a month) who was on “vacation,” and welcomed first-time event riders Paul Palmer and Stephen Engler (that bike from one of the Kaua‘i buy-sell sites was a winner!) that joined the ranks of event regulars like Ashton Varner and Palmer Hafdahl…and even Stephanie (nope, she didn’t get left behind!) got a chance to stretch out.
Kudos to Mo‘olelo Murals artists Bethany Coma, Holly Ka‘iakapu and Brie Blake who were joined by Nikki Cristobal in sprucing up the mural at the Salt Pond Beach Park main pavilion after it was damaged, last week…one of the people who stopped said he recognized the trio from all the work they’re doing on Kress Street (they even attract audiences from people coming and going to Hamura’s Saimin!).
Happy birthday, Tiffanee Fujimoto who got a nice mention from Ron Wood on FM97, Thursday! Where’s dinner?
Okay, time to check out the Back to School Bash (Sara Miura and the Deja Vu Surf Hawai‘i ‘ohana celebrates a birthday sale, this weekend, along with a pop-up event with Tiffany Dick and the Aloha Dance Studio) that got moved to July 24 at the Kukui Grove Center, and good luck, Coach Alan Melchor and the Kawaihau Majors All-Stars at the Little League State Tournament on Maui!
