KILAUEA — A structure fire on Thursday that closed down Ko‘olau Road in Kilauea for about four hours to shuttle in water displaced six individuals.
Firefighters with stations 8, 2, 3, Rescue 3, Air 1, the Department of Public Works responded to the fire, according to officials.
By 6:18 p.m. Thursday, firefighters extinguished the fire and cleared the scene. An investigation is ongoing Friday.
The American Red Cross is assisting the individuals.
