HANALEI — A North Shore local boy released his music single last week as an independent solo artist and has already landed his first Spotify editorial playlist on the debut.
Luke Reynolds, now known as independent solo artist Luke Reyvn, debut his single called “Razors,” on July 9.
“I started Luke Reyvn to reflect my current direction as a solo artist,” Reyvn said. “I am evolving quickly as a rock artist and excited for the world to hear my pipeline of songs. It took me a week to write the song but then it took a couple of months to get the song to its finished product.”
Reyvn, which is pronounced as “Raven,” landed a spot on the Spotify editorial playlist “All New Rock” after releasing his first single.
“My fans have been very supportive and engaging with me on social media as well as the music video on YouTube,” Reyvn said. “They will experience an evolution of my Luke Reyvn sound, performance, and lyrics. I am also collaborating with exciting new artists to make some great music.”
Although Reyvn started his solo project, he said he has nothing lined up as far as shows on Kaua‘i, however, he has a few exciting things in the works.
“My debut single ‘Razors’ is out now on all streaming platforms,” Reyvn said. “Also ‘Razors’ will be playing on iHeart Radio Honolulu very soon.”
According to Reyvn’s website, the genre of music that he writes includes songs that “tackle many young adult issues today, focusing on substance abuse, mental illness, anxiety, depression, teen angst, and the thrill of the rock star lifestyle.”
If Reyvn could give his fans a message, he said “You are not alone,” Reyvn said. “I’m incredibly grateful for all the love and support my fans have been giving me since I started this crazy music journey.”
There are lots of solos out there. My favorite in 2020, circle post Malone. Runaway. Big hit. Original. But done at Ala Moana shopping center.
They were like you.
This was a local group. Out of Oahu. Kauai heh? Well I came out in 1996. High school. Well now. You need supporters. There’s a concert playing in Neal Blaisedell center this year. Hall and Oats. Out of touch. 1984. Check it out too.
