HANALEI — Due to improvements being made at the Hanalei Refuse Transfer Station, scrap metal is not accepted at this time.
The area is expected to reopen on Saturday, July 17. North Shore residents may take their scrap metal to the Kapa‘a Refuse Transfer Station until the area is cleared for use again.
Heavy machinery and large vehicles will be entering and exiting the Hanalei site. Use caution when dropping off other material.
