Beach users to the Salt Pond Beach Park were greeted by a vandalized mo‘olelo mural, Saturday when the county opened the park to day use following the closure to clear the park of debris and perform major tree trimming work when the final Shelter In Place site closed on Tuesday. A lifeguard discovered the vandalism when reporting for work, Friday and the report was responded by Mo‘olelo Murals representatives trying to clear the damage. The artists are planning on restoring the piece, Tuesday.

Happy birthday, Mikaela Brown — a Boys & Girls Club, Lihu‘e alum — who got a free set of wheels courtesy of the efforts from Todd Burns of PS&D/NAPA, Kevin and Jon Belz of Bumper And Dent Company (Todd said they’re the only place on Kaua‘i that works with water-based car paint).
