Ervin A. Contrades Sr.
Ervin A. Contrades Sr., passed away on June 19, 2021, at the age of 91. He was born on Jan. 28, 1930. in Lihu‘e and worked for Amfac Sugar.
Ervin was preceded in death by his wife Mercy Contrades, parents Peter and Ruby Contrades, sister Myrtle (Frank) Napoleon, brother Peter Noah Contrades and sister-in-law Emmaleen Contrades.
Ervin is survived by sons Erv A. Contrades Jr., Clayton C. Contrades, D. Kalei (Wiley Ann) Contrades, hanai son Charlie R. Strunk, daughters Lavana M. (Debra Almeida) Contrades, Sandi L. (Jerry) Costa, brothers Waldemar John (Patsy) Contrades, Daniel Contrades, Joseph (Betty Jane) Contrades, sister Imogene Richards, sister-in-law Anita Contrades of Molokai, grandchildren Malia L. (Kyle) Napoleon, Roy (Brooke Akaji) Costa, Kalani Contrades, Kelsey K (Linda) Contrades, Kendal (Naomi) Contrades, Kristine (Avaiyak) Burnell, great-grandchildren Kurt A. and Kyler P. Napoleon, Nakoa L. and Nainoa K. Costa, Keani, Angelo, Dominic Contrades, Scot and Kyle Contrades, Kiara, Kylen, Kendra, Avaiyak Jr., Bella and Ahkivgaq Bryce Burnell.
A celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 10, 2021, at Kauai Veterans Center in Lihu‘e. Visitation with the family at 9 a.m. and memorial service at 10 a.m. with a luncheon to follow. The family request that flowers be omitted.

Crispina Theresa Laranio
Crispina Theresa Laranio, 91, of Kapa‘a passed away peacefully at home on June 24, 2021, with her family by her side. She was born in Kapa‘a, on May 15, 1930, and retired from Kojima Store as a butcher.
Crispina was preceded in death by her husband, Bacillio “Dick” Laranio, parents Ambroscio and Margarita Mande, siblings Belarmino Mande, Faustino Patricio Sr., William Mande Sr. and Gladys Padre, granddaughters Melissa and Misty Pia-Laranio.
Crispina is survived by her children, Richard B. (Donna Lau) Laranio, Diana (Clifford) Mancia, Linda (Calvin) Tani and John Laranio, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, July 17, 2021, at Kaua‘i Memorial Gardens Funeral Home with viewing from 9 a.m. and a blessing at 11:45 a.m. Burial will follow at Kaua‘i Veterans Cemetery in Hanapepe at 1 p.m. Masks and social distancing will be required.

Joshua Jon Costa
Joshua Jon Costa, of Honolulu, unexpectedly passed away at home on Sept. 15, 2020, at the age of 42. He was born on Aug. 17, 1978, in Lihu‘e and was a construction estimator.
Joshua was preceded in death by his father Edward J “Caldine” Costa.
Joshua is survived by his mother Rosita E. Costa of Kapolei, sisters Edwina (Randy) Simao of Hanapepe, Rowena (Scot) Jimenez of Ko‘Olina, Rosette (Warren) Bradshaw of Ko‘Olina, nephews Caleb and Nathaniel, nieces Sheena and Shaylah, grand-nephew Ryder, grand-niece Talia, numerous family and friends.
The family has requested a private service.
James Wiseman
James Wiseman, of Kilauea, unexpectedly passed away at the age of 73, on April 1, 2021, on the island of O‘ahu.
James is survived by his wife Diane Ragone, his son Brendan Wiseman and his grandson Ace of Los Angeles, California.
He was the owner of Wiseman & Company and DigitalMedia Hawaii/Pacific, Inc.
