Signs, cones needed to manage Hanalei access
We live part of the year in Princeville. However, due to the Hanalei Hill work, access is restricted to Hanalei to certain times, and traffic backs up as far as ‘Anini.
Unofficial signs that were already taken off said “right side Princeville.” But nobody lets you drive on the right side, on the shoulder to get into Princeville, because they think you are cutting into the lane for Hanalei. So Princeville residents have to wait long periods of time just to get home.
The transportation department should mark two lanes with cones or put an announcement. I had to drive somebody to the airport and got out of the car multiple times to ask other local people to let me through, and they did not. They thought I am waiting in the line for Hanalei.
