Friday afternoon in the thick of the Kapa‘a creep. Cindy’s Saimin would’ve made a perfect pit stop, Ken Kubota (we could’ve found out what was the business next door).

Kamehana is from Maui, and was helping Jeni Kaohelauli‘i of the Old Kapa‘a Town Business Hui, who had a rare day off from Work It Out (that store has come a long way from the opening days of recycling old shoes!). Kudos to John Kaohelauli‘i (konane anyone?), who brought some late lunch for Jasmine, who was running the shop so Jeni could have her day off.
Now, what is that line of shirts Kamehana has? Is it still being sold at Work It Out?
Kudos to Susan Iwai, who was showing the ropes to a couple who just moved here from the Bay Area, and was touring the Grove Farm Market, where Blanca Gil got to shop on her day off, too. But, no worries, because Bryden Ka‘auwai and Dr. Kapono Chong of Ho‘ola Lahui had everything under control at the Rob’s Good Times Grill vaccination site, with the help of Marc Valentine and the KQNG gorilla team.
OK, time to go check out Taylor Shigemoto, Morgan Moises Lopez and Karen Shigemoto and the Hawai‘iUSA Federal Credit Union branch (not service center!) at Kukui Grove Center near the Milky Cereal Bar in Lihu‘e (Mary Lardizabal calls it “Milky Way!”) that also opened its doors very recently.
