Congratulations, Robert Trent Jones and the Princeville Makai ‘ohana, on the 50th anniversary of the golf course (RTJ said “all those people mowing the grass for 50 years!”). He said Dickie Chang was going to do the party stuff for the anniversary Saturday.

Congratulations, too, Patrick Porter of the county Department of Parks &Recreation and the Wailua Golf Course crew on being named No. 26 in Golf magazine’s 30 best municipal courses in America! You have up to Monday, June 14 to register for the county Summer Golf Program open to golfers between ages 7 and 15 — that is, if the department hasn’t reached its ceiling of 25 golfers.
Chyson Aguano and his ‘ohana are still going crazy with the opening of Milky Cereal Bar (congratulations to Arryl Kaneshiro on his second young mouth to feed. He forgot about Milky before getting a Jamba Juice, but got a Milky special anyway), and Melissa McFerrin-Warrack couldn’t resist the Pink special while waiting on Finnegan’s night of karate.
Kudos to Kukui Grove Center for hosting the Kaua‘i Made Pop-up, where Made Jiminez of Mailelani’s came back for an encore following Mother’s Day, and Edwin Vea must’ve been itchy to peddle the manapua bag instead of just getting one of those microwave buddies (he said Karin Panui still has them in stock).
OK, time to go check out Patti Ornellas and what they have at the Relay For Life Pop-Up &Pick-Up gathering at the Coconut Marketplace in Waipouli.
