I love and miss Rush Limbaugh very much. Please log onto YouTube and search William Shatner vs. Rush Limbaugh. This short video is what inspired me to write the following.
Hawai‘i, Kaua‘i and Democrat government mandates, not laws enacted by Congress or state legislation, are made to disguise what government and bureaucracies are really about.
It isn’t to keep us safe, it’s for the sole purpose to control Americans and how we live our lives.
It is the total opposite of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
Government is a necessary evil to do those things which we cannot do for ourselves, such as utilities, road systems, basic infrastructure, keeping us safe from domestic and foreign aggression.
There’d be less for the police to enforce if we were allowed to arm ourselves. We can’t be trusted to do that, thus allowing those who commit evil to gun down defenseless people at will; San Jose 5/25/21, nine dead. The Second Amendment, if allowed to be followed, would be the biggest deterent to crime, causing criminals to pause before commiting robbery, looting and murder.
Whether it be health care, a pandemic, self-defense, education or any other necessity of life, the government is dead set on controlling the American public.
Only the government (sarcasm on my part) knows and understands what’s best for us because we can’t figure it out and, according to the government, we don’t possess the common sense which our Creator bestowed on us to live our lives in an orderly and safe manner.
Republicanism is freedom to do what’s right in every circumstance (intelligence guided by experience), possessing a moral compass (Judeo-Christian principles laid out in God’s word) to guide how we should live and conduct ourselves.
Republicanism is limited government, free trade and open markets not encumbered by government over-regulation and heavy taxes.
Republicanism recognizes that the wages we earn or the business we build don’t belong to the government; they belong to us; we created them, not the government.
Government should receive a mere token and/or pittance in tax revenue compared to what they pilfer from the American public, corporations and small business.
Government has been successful in laying a guilt trip on America, making us feel that we are the greedy ones, that we don’t deserve to keep what we earn, that we don’t own our businesses, our families, our churches and our very lives.
Republicanism is self-reliance, not reliance on government.
Besides loving and missing Rush, I miss President Ronald Reagan (Ronaldus Magnus), who said:
1. “One of the traditional methods of imposing statism or socialism on a people has been by way of medicine. It’s very easy to disguise a medical program as a humanitarian project.” – 1961
2. “Government is like a baby: An alimentary canal with a big appetite at one end and no responsibility at the other.” – 1965
3. “Government’s first duty is to protect the people, not run their lives.” – 1981
4. “We are a nation that has a government — not the other way around. And this makes us special among the nations of the Earth. Our Government has no power except that granted it by the people. It is time to check and reverse the growth of the government which shows signs of having grown beyond the consent of the governed.” – 1981
Finally, America is not a democracy, it’s a republic. America is a constitutional republic whose leaders are elected democratically; who in turn represent us to do our bidding, not the other way around. They are responsible to us, we’re not responsible to them.
A people governed by democracy alone are a people who are governed by mob rule. The U.S. Constitution is a document that limits government, not allowing them to control our lives. The U.S. Constitution is what makes it possible for us to exercise our freedom.
This is why people, legally or illegally, migrate to the United States of America. Our U.S. Constitution is what allows men who started with nothing to create jobs, prosper, making us the land of opportunity. Opportunity isn’t guaranteed. It can only exist and prosper in a constitutional republic, guarding against government intrusion and tyranny. This is American exceptionalism.
