Phillip J. Kamakea
Phillip J. Kamakea, of Kalaheo, peacefully joined the Lord on May 20, 2021, at the age of 79. He was born in Honolulu, and retired with McBryde Sugar Plantation.
Phillip was preceeded in death by parents Thomas Suprimedio and Louisa Kamakea and daughter-in-law Angeline “Gigie” Kamakea.
Phillip leaves behind his loving wife Patricia Kamakea, daughter Rose (Carlos) Kamakea-Colon of Florida, sons Phillip (Patti) Kamakea, David Kamakea, Kalani (Trisha) Kamakea all of Kauai, 14 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, June 5, 2021, at Kauai Memorial Gardens Funeral Home with viewing from 9 to 11 a.m. Burial will follow at 11:15 a.m. at Kauai Memorial Gardens.

Henry (Hank) Kamalani Nakaahiki Jr.was a retired carpenter with Robert Jewell General Contractor.
Hank is survived by his wife Sylvia K. Nakaahiki of Kekaha, his sons Jody and Bronson Nakaahiki, of Kekaha, Henry (Danielle) Nakaahiki III of Nebraska, his daughters Holynn (Makana) Nakaahiki, Hollianne (Junah) Nakaahiki, both of Kekaha, his 11 grandchildren, his godson, brothers Mitchell (Sherry) Nakaahiki of California, Clint Nakaahiki, Lyle (Yvette) Nakaahiki of Kekaha, sisters Deborah (Larry) Gates, Lynn (Gerald) Teves of Oregon; Minnie (Tony) Natividad, Kahelelani ‘Ala’ Kanahele of Kekaha, numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Hank was preceded in death by his parents Henry Sr. and Carol Nakaahiki, his brothers Lance ‘Kehau’ Nakaahiki, Clarence ‘Bully’ Nakaahiki, and 3 grand-children.
Celebration of Life will be held at Kupa’a Iloko Kona Lima Church, in Kekaha, on Saturday, June 5, 2021, at 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Scattering of his ashes will be handled privately by his children.
Cremation of his remains was performed by O‘ahu Mortuary Inc.
Maria Lucia Dotual Royales
Maria Lucia Dotual Royales, 67, of Kapa‘a, passed away at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on May 10, 2021. She was born in Bacolad City, Visaya, Philippines and was employed at Kauai Beach Resort as a housekeeper.
Maria was preceded in death by her husbands Nestor Garcia and Juan Sese.
Maria is survived by her daughters Lani Garcia, Heide Garcia, Cindyrella Sese, Princess Sese, Javarose Sese, 10 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren.
A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, June 5, 2021, at St. Catherine Church with visitation from 8:45 a.m. and Mass celebrated at 9 a.m. Social distancing and masks are required.
Kauai Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
