KOLOA — The county Department of Public Works and Goodfellow Bros. LLC announced that multiple sections of Koloa and Maluhia roads are scheduled for lane closures from Monday to Friday, May 17 to 21.
KOLOA — The county Department of Public Works and Goodfellow Bros. LLC announced that multiple sections of Koloa and Maluhia roads are scheduled for lane closures from Monday to Friday, May 17 to 21.
Multiple sections of Koloa Road will be under a single-lane closure for shoulder construction, pavement work and striping operations, from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Portions of Maluhia Road will be under short lane closures for inspection and punch-list completion, also from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
As a reminder, ‘Oma‘o Road is a narrow, residential road not intended to be used as a detour route, and not designed for high volumes of traffic or truck traffic.
The speed limit is 25 mph all of ‘Oma‘o Road, and through trucks are prohibited on ‘Oma‘o Road for the duration of the projects. Eastbound motorists from the Westside, Kalaheo or Lawa‘i are recommended to take Kaumuali‘i Highway to Maluhia Road to access Koloa and Po‘ipu.
