LIHU‘E – A new public access WiFi service is now located at all County of Kaua‘i neighborhood centers.
The new “County WiFi” will be accessible daily from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., and is generally reachable from any location within each neighborhood center or in the public areas around the building, including the parking lots.
“It is our hope that this free public WiFi will give families and students who do not presently have easy access to the internet, another option to help take care of online necessities like paying bills or completing schoolwork,” said Mayor Derek S. K. Kawakami.
To access WiFi, search for “County WiFi” which will show among the list of networks available if you are in the immediate vicinity of a neighborhood center. No password is needed.

At all hours, 24 hours a day? And who is funding this setup and pay? Surely the networks aren’t doing this for free. They are a business. They demand pay.
The second sentence of this article says ‘The new “County WiFi” will be accessible daily from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.’ so clearly not ‘all hours’
WHERE the WiFi hotspots are located would have been good information to give your readers.
You can find them on this map.

Perfect…thanks, Derek. Nothing like unsecured public WIFI for doing “online necessities”.
