Justin Mark Hennessy
Justin Mark Hennessy passed away on March 31, 2021, He was born on May 28, 1976.
Justin grew up on the North Shore of Kaua’i. He was a impressive boogie board rider and rode waves with the “best” out of Kaua’i. Justin graduated from Kapaa High in 1994. He was a member of “Kaua’i Society of Artist.” In 2018 he won the Emerging Artist Award.” Justin was best known as a Gifted and Talented artist.
Justin had a intense style of drawing that brought his picture to life by his intricate patterns, details and color. His style of Art was much admired not only by friends and family but also by all who frequented the shops and restaurants where his work was displayed.
Justin is survived by his mother Linda S.Hennessy, stepfather Jim P. Hennessy, sister Lea Hennessy Kano (Kai), brothers Robert Hennessy, James Hennessy, stepbrother Brian Hennessy (Zaida), Girlfriend Becka Day of Bend, Oregon, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
A Celebration of life will be at a later date in June.
Nancy Soltren
Nancy L. Soltren, 80, of Kapa‘a, passed away on May 9, 2021, at Garden Isle Health Care. She was born on March 1, 1941, and was a dedicated home maker.
Nancy was preceded in death by husband Eddie Soltren, brother Gary Guy and sister Laurie Guy.
Nancy is survived by her sons Brandon and Jabba Catley, brother Bruce Guy, 4 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 15, 2021, at St. Sylvester Church in Kilauea. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. with Mass to follow at 11 a.m. Social Distancing and face masks are required.

Florencio Tangonan
Florencio Tangonan, 100, of Hanama‘ulu, passed away on April 24, 2021 at home. He was born in 23 Paninaan, Bacarra, Ilocos Norte, Philippines on Nov. 7, 1920, and retired from Lihu‘e Plantation.
Florencio was preceded in death by his son Macario Tangonan, brothers Juan and Samuel Tangonan, sisters Valentina Visitacion, Anesita Rivera, Visitacion Dalire, Bernarda Galapon and son-in-law, Sinforoso Antonio.
Florencio is survived by his wife Claridad Tangonan, son Rizal Tangonan, daughters Consolacion Antonio, Noralyn (Nestor) Arizabal, grandchildren Agnes (Jose) Bermudez of Chicago, Alvin Antonio of O‘ahu, Lhaylalyn Tangonan of San Diego, Rotsen Arizabal of O‘ahu, Cheryl Arizabal of O‘ahu, great-grandchildren Lorenalyn and Jhayden Maldonado of San Diego.
A Celebration of Life will be held on May 29, 2021, at Immaculate Conception Church. Doors open at 9:30 a.m. with Mass to follow at 10 a.m. After Mass has concluded a viewing will begin at 11 a.m. at Kauai Memorial Gardens with burial to follow at 1:30 p.m. Social Distancing and face masks are required.

Marian Yoshie Teshima
Marian Yoshie Teshima passed away on April 1, 2021, at the age of 94, in Hanapape. She was born on June 8, 1926, in Wahiawa. She was an Office Clerk.
Marian was preceded in death by her husband Toshio Teshima, parents Kinji and Tamayo Kouchi, brother Robert Kouchi and sister Clara Niino.
Marian is survived by her daughters Kathleen (Alvin) Fujii of Everett, Washington, Lynette (Timothy) Floyd of Murrieta, California, grandchildren Alana (Richard) Mculade, Karinne (Marwin) Cortes, great-grandchildren Corbin Ferrie, Ariana Ferrie, Keila Cortes, Koby Cortes, numerous nieces and nephews.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the funeral service will be postponed until a later date.

Janet Kealiikaeamoku Kaohi Kahalekomo
Janet Kealiikaeamoku Kaohi Kahalekomo passed away on April 24, 2021, at the age of 83, in Lihu‘e. She was born on Sept. 6, 1937, in Waimea. She was a Kumu at Ele‘ele Elementary School.
Janet was preceded in death by her husband Abraham “Bull” Kahalekomo, parents Markham H. Kaohi and Katie K. Kaluna Kia Kaohi, brothers Lionel Kaohi, Francis Kaohi, sisters Katherine Bellinger, Lilly Kaikuoana, great-grandchildren Kaizley (Makamai) Kahelekomo-Schmidt, Graham and Gene Lawrence and Tammy L. Carlos.
Janet is survived by her son Abraham (Lori Marugame) Kahalekomo of Puhi, daughters Penny (Clyde) Anakalea of Hanapepe, Nicolette P. (Ronald) Sahut, grandchildren Ronson, Katrina, Mahealani, Mele, Brandee, Chilise, Abe Ikaika, Alyssa, Kaulana, Kalena, Anuhea, 25 great-grandchildren, brother-in-laws Reb Bellinger of Honolulu, Jerome Teves of Honolulu, sister-in-laws Lydia Kaohi of Ele‘ele, Elizabeth “Susie” Kaohi of Las Vegas, Nevada, numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Walk-through visitation at Garden Island Mortuary on May 15, 2021, from 9 to 11 a.m. There will be a celebration of Life to follow. Aloha attire and flowers welcome.
