Garrett Naumu
Garrett Naumu passed away on April 15, 2021, at the age of 37, in Lihu‘e.
He was born on Dec. 13, 1983.
He was preceded in death by father Dwayne Naumu.
He is survived by son Brenden Naumu of Lihu‘e, daughters Aleajah Naumu of Lihu‘e and Taytra Naumu of Lihu‘e, mother Ruth Naumu, sisters Tiffany Naumu of Lihu‘e, Trisha Naumu of Lihu‘e and Krystal Naumu of Honolulu, and numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services will be held at a later date.
Garden Island Mortuary is assisting the family with arrangements.
Janet Keali‘ikaeamoku Kaohi Kahalekomo
Janet Keali‘ikaeamoku Kaohi Kahalekomo passed away on April 24, 2021, at the age of 83, in Lihu‘e. She was born on Sept. 6, 1937, in Waimea.
She was a kumu at ‘Ele‘ele School.
She was preceded in death by husband Abraham “Bull” Kahalekomo, parents Markham H. Kaohi and Katie K. Kaluna Kia Kaohi, brothers Lionel Kaohi and Francis Kaohi, sisters Katherine Bellinger and Lilly Kaikuoana, great-grandchildren Kaizley (Makamai) Kahelekomo-Schmidt, Graham and Gene Lawrence and Tammy L. Carlos.
She is survived by son Abraham (Lori Marugame) Kahalekomo of Puhi, daughters Penny (Clyde) Anakalea of Hanapepe and Nicolette P. (Ronald) Sahut, grandchildren Ronson, Katrina, Mahealani, Mele, Brandee, Chilise, Abe Ikaika, Alyssa, Kaulana, Kalena and Anuhea, 25 great-grandchildren, brother-in-laws Reb Bellinger of Honolulu and Jerome Teves of Honolulu, sisters-in-law Lydia Kaohi of ‘Ele‘ele and Elizabeth “Susie” Kaohi of Las Vegas, and numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A walk-thru visitation at Garden Island Mortuary is Saturday, May 15, from 9 to 11 a.m., with a celebration of life to follow. The family suggests aloha attire and welcomes flowers. Due to COVID-19, masks and social distancing are required.

Patsy Z. Sakai
Patsy Z. Sakai passed away on April 20, 2021, in Lihu‘e, at the age of 92.
She was born on May 8, 1928, in Hanalei.
She was preceded in death by husband Roy Sakai and daughter Laureen Sakai-Higley.
She is survived by daughters Kris (Caesar) Jardin of Kalaheo and Carlene (Galen) Oshiro of Lihu‘e, grandchildren Shelby-Ann (Eric) Erdmann, Sean (Leina‘ala) Jardin, Ashley (Tom) Kowach, Darcy (Jerrold) Tagavilla, Nikki and Kelli Oshiro, Farren (Russ Cummings) Higley, Quintin (Elisha Nabeshima) Sakai-Higley, 14 great-grandchildren, son-in-Law Michael Higley of Lihu‘e, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A private service was held.
