Portions of Maluhia Road will be under short lane closures for inspection and punch-list completion work from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
As a reminder, ‘Oma‘o Road is a narrow residential road that is not intended to be used as a detour route, and not designed for high volumes of traffic or truck traffic. The speed limit is 25 mph for the length of the road. Through trucks are prohibited on ‘Oma‘o Road for the duration of this project.
Eastbound motorists from the Westside, Kalaheo and Lawa‘i are encouraged to take Kaumuali‘i Highway to Maluhia Road to access Koloa and Po‘ipu.
Construction of the Koloa Road roundabout is currently projected to be complete by May 25. The current projected project completion date is July 13.
