The U.S. Navy Pacific Missile Range Facility at Barking Sands near Kekaha is one of two sites under consideration.
Online open-house meetings were held in February and March, along with the opportunity to send comments via telephone.
Comments intended to be mailed must be postmarked or received by Monday, and can be sent to KFS, LLC, Attn: MDA HRD-H EIS, 303 Williams Ave., Suite 116, Huntsville, AL 35801.

The MDA, the Federal Aviation Administration and a slew of military agencies are preparing the EIS for a “discrimination radar or equivalent sensor” to improve missile-defense capabilities against threats primarily from west of Hawai‘i and the mainland, according to an earlier public announcement.
