Gents and Rebels share second place
LIHU‘E — With two outs in the ninth inning, the ‘Ohana’s tying run was tagged out at the plate to give Da Killas an 18-17 win at the ‘Ele‘ele field where the ‘Ohana Rebels were a 14-2 winner over the Islanders to end up in a tie for second place in the standings with the Keonimana Gents who soared past Da Kruzers, 17-3 at the Peter Rayno Park in Hanamaulu.
The Rookies settled a see-saw 16-12 battle with Kawaihau to remain undefeated and in first place in the standings while Kawaihau slipped to fifth place with its third loss on the season that ends with games on April 17.
Saturday, the battle for sole second takes place at the Bryan J. Baptiste Memorial Sports Complex at 9 a.m. when the Keonimana Gents tangle with Barteks.
Kaua‘i Senior Softball will also host games at the Wailua field starting from 9 a.m.
