OK, Easter is done. Lacey Love said they’re just doing a small egg hunt at a friend’s house, and Deja Vu Surf Hawai‘i had so many shoppers Kayla Koerte had to abandon the Bunny Hole (Akemi Dizol was busy behind the Plexiglass) and pass out the goodies from the basket. Jarrin Shigemura from Spectrum’s beach-bucket kits (and sunglasses) hit the spot as Easter giveaways, all Saturday at Kukui Grove Center in Lihu‘e.

Over at the Asian anti-hate rally at the Historic County Building on Rice Street in Lihu‘e, Dr. Addison Bulosan (he dropped a blop of paint on the protective cloth at the Kress Street mural) had his parents on hand with signs (dad Adams Bulosan said the Miss Kaua‘i Filipina crown is broken). There was no Maile (the mini puppy), but Nikki Cristobal was there with Mo‘olelo Murals to watch Trysen Kaneshige and Bethany Coma do a “Stop Asian Hate” mural with sakura (did you folks check out the Sylvia Fujii sakura at the Kaua‘i Society of Artists Spring Show?), and Beau Acoba (I guess he was off from the Puhi Park Produce that just celebrated one year since starting as a help to farmers, many of whom have Grove Farm leases).
Beau said they’re re-branding the market to the Grove Farm Market (the signs are already up) on Saturdays from 9:30 a.m.
OK, time to go meet U.S. Rep. Kai Kahele, who is here through Thursday doing congressman duties. He appears on a virtual Kaua‘i Chamber of Commerce meeting on Zoom today at 8:30 a.m.
