EB (that’s short for “Easter Bunny”) is available for photos by appointment today and Easter Sunday from 11 a.m., as the spring festivities continue at Kukui Grove Center.
Appointments can be made at kukuigrovecenter.com/events for today from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
“Kukui Grove Center retailers will be closed on April 4 in observation of Easter Sunday,” said Melissa McFerrin-Warrack, KGC marketing manager. “However, several of the restaurants are choosing to open in order to serve families on that day.”
A nice way to start Saturday is the mini egg hunt starting at 8 a.m. inside The Fun Factory. Registration is at the door, and due to health and safety guidelines there may be a limit to how many egg hunters are allowed inside the business.
From 9 to 10:30 a.m., shoppers are invited to a breakfast with the spring characters, including EB’s friends, at the food court. Guests simply register at the food court to receive a table, where the personalities will come to visit and allow for some socially-distanced photos after the table guests have had time to gather their breakfast foods from the different eateries.
“Sone’s is opening special for this day,” McFerrin-Warrack said. “And, there’s pancakes from Oki Bento and Plate Lunches, breakfast treats from Kaua‘i Bakery and more.”
Other festive activities include the spring crafts and grab-and-go activities set up near the Keiki Korner play area and leading to Bunny Hollow, located across the walk from Jamba Juice.
That was a perfect place for Alaia and Amari Baliaris to catch a glimpse of EB Friday while mom Katie visited Jamba Juice and Starbucks.
“Saturday is the final day for spring crafts and giveaways, and we look forward to making the holiday weekend special for families with some fun spring-character appearances,” McFerrin-Warrack said.
Over at Deja Vu Surf Hawai‘i, the Bunny Hole that was popular with families during the Spring Festival Fun last week is back today.
“Kayla Koerte is working that day,” said Nelson Acosta of Deja Vu. “And Akemi Dizol is also scheduled to be here, too. There’ll be two of them.”
Shoppers are reminded that face masks must be worn inside and outside the shopping center, and social distancing is required.
