Project Vision Hawaii has been a leader in vaccinating the people of Hawaii to protect against COVID-19.
Many people are asking, is there anything else we can do to help protect those who have not yet been vaccinated as well as provide further protection for those who have been vaccinated.
The answer is a resounding yes. The following are some of the important additional steps that you should consider taking to keep you and your family healthy during this Covid 19 time and beyond. These simple steps strengthen the immune system and the ability to fight off disease.
The GREAT NEWS is, the following health tips will help to improve your general health everyday. These simple tips can even help patients who have Diabetes, Hypertension (High Blood Pressure), High Cholesterol, and those who may desire to lose a little weight too.
Continue to wear masks in public settings such as grocery stores or public places where you are exposed in close distances to other people outside of your household, keep social distances and wash hands very often especially after grocery shopping or coming in contact with anything or anybody as well as before all meals and drinks or before and after touching your face.
• Drink 6-8 glasses of water each day (spread out throughout the day)
• Get a big dose of fresh air – Walk at least 20-30 minutes outdoors 2 times a day (get the approval from your doctor if you have any medical condition or concern)
• Eat fruits each day
• Eat vegetables each day – have a salad with a mixture of vegetables
• Eat fish more often than meat each week
• Eat less chips, candy and bread
• Sleep 7-8 hours a night
• Get sunshine (use sunscreen as recommended by your doctor)
• Take a Multi Vitamin (get the approval of your doctor in case he/she has a recommendation)
