Happy birthday, Ronnie Dotario (mahalo, Ron Wood, for the heads-up), whose birthday made the rain go away (even if only for a little while, Friday), and doesn’t Tiffany Sagucio (the reigning Miss Kaua‘i Filipina and University of Hawai‘i at Manoa journalism student doing distance learning) have her special day coming up pretty soon?

Having the rain Thursday was good, because Lois Andersson could park close for the Nawiliwili Yacht Club Phil Tanner race that got delayed because the Marigola tanker departed when the first flags were supposed to fly.
Oh well, the departure made for great viewing (even with the rain).
Kudos to the Hawai‘i Foodbank Kaua‘i Branch (welcome to Jordyn Nuivo, the newest Hawai‘i Foodbank Kaua‘i Branch employee) on getting out those food packages to families at the Bryan J. Baptiste Sports Complex (Wes Perreira said one of their trucks with food was able to clear the Hanalei landslide check point).
Kudos to Elton Ushio of the Kaua‘i Emergency Management Agency, on coordinating Gov. David Ige’s trip to view the landslide and other damages on the North Shore, and kudos to both the Kaua‘i Police Department and the Kaua‘i Fire Department in being accommodating of all those cars in the motorcade…definitely a big event up there on the North Shore.
Back in town, Melissa McFerrin-Warrack is getting ready to greet the Easter bunny (when is Easter, anyway?) and what’s this about Mother Goose?
Just get me some marshmallow Peeps.
