LIHU‘E — The Kaua‘i Filipino Chamber of Commerce Scholarship Committee has plans to award $10,000 to students who meet the scholarship criteria.
LIHU‘E — The Kaua‘i Filipino Chamber of Commerce Scholarship Committee has plans to award $10,000 to students who meet the scholarship criteria.
An additional $2,000 will be awarded to students pursuing nursing degrees.
Application forms for high-school seniors and community-college students, or those pursuing vocational careers through a four-year college or university, are available at the KFCC website, kauaifilipinochamber.org/kfcc-2021-scholarship-programs/, and need to be completed and submitted by Friday, March 19.
Scholarship recipients will be notified by April 19.
Application forms are also available through high-school counselors and the Kaua‘i Community College financial-aid office.
Judging criteria includes financial need, academic achievements and honors and leadership and extracurricular activities. Applicants must also complete an essay or personal statement.
