Dr. Richard Tadashi Haruki passed away on Feb. 15, 2021, at the age of 88, in Lihu‘e.
He was born on Nov. 18, 1932 in Kealia, and was a dentist.
He was preceded in death by parents Matsuzo and Tsurue Haruki, siblings Sadako Shimabukuro, Hiroshi Haruki, Hisayo Nakamura, Momoyo Moribe, Tokiyo Arita, Julia Suzuki, Sumie Haruki and Yoshie Kodama.
He is survived by wife Jane Haruki of Wailua, sons Dr. Craig Haruki of Lihu‘e, Dr. Todd and Susan Haruki of Honolulu, daughter Michele (Alan Iwasaki) Haruki of Lihu‘e, grandchildren Brandon Haruki, Caroline Haruki, Bradley Fujiuchi, Alyssa Fujiuchi, Jordan Haruki and Lexi Haruki, sister Barbara Haruki of Wailua, and by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Private services will be held at a later date.
Garden Island Mortuary is assisting the family with arrangements.
