Consuelo ‘Connie’ Marie Badua Pumaras Nadarisay
Consuelo “Connie” Marie Badua Pumaras Nadarisay, 72, of Lihu‘e, passed away on Feb. 3, 2021.
Mom was born on March 20, 1948 in San Nicolas, Ilocos Norte, Philippines, and retired from the state of Hawai‘i Judiciary.
She is survived by her children Chrysanthemum Erorita and Edison Erorita.
We will be celebrating mom’s life at a later date and will make the announcement once the date is determined.
Virgil Munar Caday
Virgil Munar Caday, 61, of Lihu‘e, passed away at home on March 22, 2020. He was born in Lihu‘e on Nov. 6, 1958, and was an electrician.
He was preceded in death by father Antonio Caday Sr. and brother Merlin Caday.
He is survived by partner Carmenia Montano, mother Crispina Caday, brother Antonio (Arlene) Caday Jr., nieces, Brandy and Giselle, sister-in-law Gail Kaliko, and granddaughter Shanti Montano.
A celebration of life is Monday, March 15, at Kaua‘i Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home, with visitation from 10 a.m. to noon. Inurnment will follow at Kaua‘i Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home.

Ronald Alan Blackstad
Ronald Alan Blackstad, born Feb. 16, 1945 in Koloa, peacefully passed at home on Jan. 29, 2021 at the age of 75. He was retired from Verizon Communications (formerly GTE Hawaiian Tel).
He was preceded in death by wife Loretta T. Blackstad, parents Alexander and Agnes Blackstad and sister Aleta Fu.
He is survived by sons Kevin J. (Adrianne), Kris K. and Kyle R. (Wailana), grandchildren Kira, Kelly, Koby, Kannen, Kahanu and Wehilani, brothers Michael (Sharon), Payne (Sybil) and Jack (Amy) Blackstad, sister Alexa (Wayne) Samio, and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a private service will be held with members of the family. A burial and celebration of life will be held at a later date when restrictions have been lifted.
Rose Marie Pimental
Rose Marie Pimental (3/31/1928 – 2/13/2021) was born in Lana‘i City and grew up in Kealia. She was 92 years old and was a housewife.
She was preceded in death by husband Charles Pimental, parents John and Mary Arruda, siblings Helen Christiansen, Agnes Shea, Mary Augusto, Ernest Arruda Branco and Manuel Arruda, and sons Manuel (Macky) and Roy Pimental.
She is survived by brother John Arruda of Moloka‘i, sister Dora Sugai of Kealia, sons Wally (Jerry) Pimental of Lawa‘i, Clifford (Debbie) Pimental of Lawa‘i and Joseph (Cobina) Pimental of Kalaheo, daughters Laurie Pimental of Kalaheo and Carolyn (Tony) Pereira of Kalaheo, daughter-in-law Linda Pimental of Kalaheo, and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A walk-thru visitation at Garden Island Mortuary is Wednesday, Feb. 24, from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. An order of service is at 8:30 a.m. Burial will follow at Kaua‘i Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home. The family suggests casual attire and welcomes flowers.

Clyde Richard Efhan
Clyde Richard Efhan passed away on Jan. 30, 2021, at the age of 64, in Koloa. He was born on Sept. 19, 1956 in Lihu‘e. He was retired.
He was preceded in death by father Maximo Efhan, mother Trinidad Camaliri Efhan, and brothers Vince Efhan and Bolo Efhan.
He is survived by wife Janell Efhan, son Kevin Efhan of Waimea, daughters Dara Efhan of Phoenix, Taryn Rosare of Phoenix and Merleigh Motooka of Kapolei, grandchildren Kaimo Motooka, Kamuela Motooka, Shayden Rosare Wilson, Amber Motooka, Keian Garcia, Micah Efhan, Kiani Motooka, Sassley Aviguetero, Keanu Nieves, Melia Motooka, Kiaryn Efhan, Tony Williams and Johncie Efhan, great-grandchildren Auzen Baniaga, Skyler Motooka, Elys Motooka, Kaiden Suzuki, King Motooka and Khaze Wilson-Kelekoma, sisters Wanda Efhan of Maui, Karen Schoner and Natalie “Tootsie” Efhan of Kaua‘i, and by numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services at the Lihu‘e Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints are Saturday, Feb. 27, with visitation from 10 to 11 a.m. and service at 11 a.m.
The family suggests casual attire and welcomes flowers.

Johnnie Jacob Loy
Johnnie Jacob Loy passed away on Feb. 9, 2021, at the age of 83, in Hawai‘i.
He was born on May 15, 1937 in Oregon. He worked in the construction industry.
He is survived by sons John Loy of Irvine, California and Jerry Loy of Fountain Valley, California, and grandchildren Justin Loy and Jerett Loy.
Due to the pandemic, there will not be a service.

Matthew Ethan King Bisarra
Matthew Ethan King Bisarra was born on March 2, 2002, and went to be with our Lord on Feb. 13, 2021. He was a very smart and vibrant young man. He loved computers, technology, cooking, video games, playing guitar, paintball and skateboarding.
He is survived by parents Pedro Bisarra Jr. of Mesa, Arizona and Stephanie King of Sierra Vista, Arizona, brother Nathan Bisarra of Kekaha, grandparents Laura and Tony King of Kekaha and Leonida and Pedro Bisarra of Kekaha, great-grandmother Janet Wingler of Glendale, Arizona, aunties and uncles Trisha (King) and Billy Plante, of Mesa, Arizona, Leonila and John Jensen of Kekaha and Evi and Alex Bisarra of Fargo, North Dakota, cousins Maribel and James Plante of Mesa, Arizona, Joshua Bisarra, Jordan Bisarra and Nichols Bisarra of Fargo, North Dakota, Maeve Jensen of Kekaha, and numerous great aunties, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents Victor Wingle of Glendale, Arizona and Cleo and James King of Washington.
Services are being held at Chapel of The Chimes Mortuary in Glendale, Arizona, on Sunday Feb. 21, at 11:30 a.m.
He will be greatly missed and will be carried in the hearts of many. We love you son and brother, mom, dad and Nathan.
