PUHI — Grove Farm is currently accepting applications for its 2021 Grove Farm Scholars program where the Grove Farm Foundation awards three merit-based scholarships to graduating senior students from Kapa‘a, Kaua‘i, or Waimea high schools.
Each of the scholarships is renewable to cover four years of post-high school college, or university work to a maximum of $20,000 total.
Considered as one of the larger scholarship programs in Hawai‘i, the Grove Farm Scholars program selects students from the island’s public high schools who are evaluated on their excellence in community service, citizenship, academic accomplishments, and quality of character.
One of the conditions of the scholarship being renewed is that each Scholar is required to do ongoing community service work on an annual basis.
The Grove Farm Scholarship application forms and more specific information is available at www.grovefarm.com/grove-farm-scholarship-program. Candidates having questions should direct inquiries to their respective high school counselor.
Application deadline is Feb. 19, and Grove Farm encourages candidates to fully complete the application in order to be considered. Completed application forms must be turned in to the high school counseling office by Feb. 19.
Since the program was started in 2010, the Grove Farm Foundation has awarded 33 scholarships to graduating seniors from Kaua‘i’s public schools amounting to $660,000.
