WAILUA — Ronald Lee Curry, of Kaua‘i, hit his first hole-in-one on Jan. 20 a red-flag day at Wailua Golf Course. Curry’s accomplishment came on the 168-yard 14th hole, using a TaylorMade R9 Driver.

Curry has been golfing for 55 years.
“Golfers are usually introduced with where they are from. Please let people know I am from Cow Creek, West Virginia, originally. God is good. This is a day I will long remember. It was a long time coming. I am 80 1/2 years old on Jan. 17.
