Da Killas jumped on the Hillsiders’ starting pitcher to claim a 3-2 advantage that was answered in the second inning when Hanamaulu’s lead-off hitter, Wayne Allianic connected with a grand slam in-the-park homerun to push the Hillsiders to a 6-3 advantage that stood for the contest.
During the day’s opener that featured former Kaua‘i County Council member Ross Kagawa taking the field for the Aloha Kia Lihu‘e A’s, the A’s built a sizeable lead that was challenged by Solid Steel before the A’s held on for a one-run margin.
