Kuhio Highway in the vicinity of the Hanalei Bridge remains closed as a Flash Flood Warning for the island of Kaua‘i has been extended to 10:15 p.m.

The National Weather Service has issued a Flash Flood Warning for Kaua‘i Tuesday afternoon, due to heavy rains occurring over the island. The warning may be extended, dropped or modified as conditions develop.
A Flash Flood Warning means flash flooding is imminent or occurring in streams, roads and low-lying areas. Do not cross fast-flowing or rising water in your vehicle or on foot.
No road closures have yet been reported at this time. However, the Hanalei River gauge showed a rise in the water level with the potential for flooding along Kuhio Highway near the Hanalei Bridge. Please stay tuned to local media for updates on road closures.
