Friday’s case is a child resident whose source of infection is related to mainland travel. All active cases are in isolation, and one case remains hospitalized on O‘ahu. Close contacts are being identified, directed to quarantine and offered testing.
Friday’s case brings the number of active cases to 19, with 200 cumulative cases. Kaua‘i’s cumulative case count includes 172 confirmed locally, one probable, and 27 positive cases diagnosed elsewhere, as they received their pre-travel test results after arriving on island.
