Clarence Kalalenaahia Gardener
Clarence Kalalenaahia Gardener passed away on Dec. 1, 2020, at the age of 76 in Lihu‘e. He was born on Dec. 26, 1943, in Lihu‘e. He was retired.
He was preceded in death by his wife Maverline Mililani Gardner, parents Moses and Mercedes Gardner, Sadie and William Sagre, brothers Delbert Sagre, Alton Gardner, William Sagre, sister Lynette Kekahuna.
He is survived by his sons Wayne (Raynette) Taniguchi of Kalaheo, Kalei (Lanell) Gardner of Lawai, Lono (Christina) Garener of Lawai, daughter Raynette Momi Gardner of Maile, O‘ahu, 7 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, brothers Edean (Pua) Gardner of Anahola, Edward Sagre of Pahoa, Hawaii, Roger Sagre of Honolulu, sisters Iris (Darriel) Woodward of Monterey, California, Loy Ann Gardner of Monterey, California, Feona Kaho‘ohanohano of Nanakuli, O‘ahu, Mary Jane Sagre of Nanakuli, O‘ahu, numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Private services were held.

Felicitas Ganotisi
Felicitas Ganotisi, 73, of Lihu‘e, passed away on Dec. 17, 2020, at home. She was born in Guinaburan, Balaoan, La Union, Philippines on March 7, 1947. She was a housekeeper.
She was preceded in death by her parents Gelacio and Felicidad Pajarillo, brother Leonardo Pajarillo, sister Editha Arenas.
She is survived by her husband Antonio Ganotisi, daughters Luvimin Bechard, Imelda (Hugh) Wilson, son Philip (Melanie) Agno, brother Benjamin Pajarillo, three grandchildren two great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Private services were held on Sunday, Dec. 27, 2020, from 10 a.m. to noon. Burial to follow.
Kauai Memorial Gardens is assisting the family with arrangements.
Dear Editor: This isn’t a big issue in the scheme of things but I can’t help wondering why sometimes you put the decedent’s name in bold lettering and sometimes you don’t. Consistency is the mark of good editing.
