Faustina Asprit Tagayuna
Faustina Asprit Tagayuna, 84, passed away on Dec. 5, 2020, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital. She was born in the Philippines on Feb. 14, 1936, and retired as a housekeeper from Kiahuna and Waiohai Hotels.
Faustina was preceded in death by her husband Marciano Corpuz Tagayuna, parents Juanito and Melania Asprit.
Faustina is survived by her daughter Marie (Jay) Tagayuna Manzano, grandsons Jayson, Jayke, and Jaycob Manzano.
A viewing will be held at Kauai Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2020, at 11 a.m., with burial to follow.
Kauai Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
Keala Wesley Kauanui
Keala Wesley Kauanui, of Kekaha, passed away on Dec. 6, 2020, at the age of 47. He was born on Sept. 21, 1973, in Lihu‘e. Keala was a Fisherman and Musician.
Keala was preceded in death by his father Patrick Kauanui and brother Keale Kauanui.
Keala is survived by his mother Beverly K Kauanui, life partner Lynette Furumoto, daughters Niryanne Santiago, Shaelyne Kauanui, Kaylyn Horner, sons Brayden Kauanui, Austin Furumoto, sisters Sunny Jo (‘Aina) Kauanui, Patty B (Juinor) Kauanui, grandchildren Kaimalino and Hunter-Ray Young and Jaelyn Horner, nephews Kaikua and Ka‘ula Apana, Kaylan Kamaka and CJ and Wailea Pasion, nieces Keahi Apana, Jaslyn Pasion, numerous aunties, uncles, cousins and friends.
A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.

Mary Fujiura passed away on Nov. 28, 2020. She was born on June 16, 1943, in the Philippines.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband Alan M. Fujiura, parents Cesario and Herminigilda Corpuz.
Mary is survived by her son Scott N. Fujiura of Kaua‘i, daughter Shari Fujiura of Kaua‘i, grandchildren Dyllen Travaso-Fujiura, Jonah Fujiura and Skylee Fujiura, sister Gloria Corpuz Sasil (William) of Wailua, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Mitsuko Nakayema
Mitsuko Nakayema passed away on Dec. 21, 2020, at the age of 90 at KVMH. She was born on July 14, 1930. She was a cafeteria manager.
Mitsuko was preceded in death by her husband Mitsuji “Birdie” Nakayemaon, Blaine Nakayema.
Mitsuko is survived by her son Trent Nakayema (Tammy) of Eleele, daughter Doris Runice (Chris) of Maryland, grandchild Jocelyn Runice, numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.

William ‘Bobby’ C. Rita
William “Bobby” C. Rita passed away on Dec. 10, 2020, at the age of 85 in Kalaheo. He was born on Aug. 27, 1935, in Kapaa. He was a Veteran with the U. S. Army and a heavy equipment operator for McBryde Sugar Plantation.
Bobby was preceded in death by his parents William and Flora Rita, son Eric Rita, sisters Alice and Elsie.
Bobby is survived by his wife Anna F. Rita, sons David (Leslie) Rita of Kalaheo, Darin Rita of Kalaheo, Gordon (Vickie) Rita of Kalaheo, Brian (Watana) Rita of Kalaheo, grandchildren Shanna (Matt) Gayagas, Shanelle (Kaohu Vierra), Rylee, DJ, Samantha, Todd, Dustin, William and Timothy Rita, great-grandchildren Shalia and Mahina Vierra, Teja Rita, Araiya, Mahriana and Massen Gayagas.
A walk through service at Garden Island Mortuary will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 29, 2020, from 9 to 10 a.m. A Celebration of Life will follow. Due to COVID-19 social distancing and masks are required.
Casual attire and flowers welcome.
