Juan Ancheta
Juan Ancheta, 83, of Lihu‘e, passed away on Dec. 8, 2020. He was born in Lihu‘e on April 26, 1937, and retired from Lihue Plantation Company.
He was preceded in death by wife Rehina Ancheta, daughter Betty Fahselt, parents Leocadio Ancheta and Eugenia Sanches, sister Louisa Ramos, and brothers Cipriano and Pedro Ancheta.
He is survived by children Gabriel Ancheta, Clayton (Donna) Ancheta of Hanama‘ulu and Teresa (Ralph) Worrell of Anahola, grandchildren Nalani (Daniel) Pa of Lihu‘e, Amanda (Chad) Canaynay of Largo, Florida, Salena (Vernon) Dela Cruz of ‘Ele‘ele, Bryson Worrell of Kapa‘a and Nelson Nitta Jr. of Kalaheo, great-grandchildren Daniel “Kaili,” Tyler and Jonah Pa, Isaiah and Maliah Dela Cruz, Morgan Worrell-Bunao and Caleb Canaynay, sisters Mary (Jesse) Canoy of Ewa Beach, E. Delores (Robert) Helser of Nanakuli and Rosita Fry of Colorado Springs, Colorado, brother Eiko Ancheta of San Francisco, brothers-in-law Albert and Arthur Maghanoy, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life is Saturday, Dec. 26, at Kaua‘i Memorial Gardens, with viewing from 10 a.m. to noon. Cremation will follow.
Kaua‘i Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Janice Amy Horibe Agustin
Janice Amy Horibe Agustin, of Lihu‘e, passed away on Dec. 11, 2020. She was born on Oct. 27, 1943, in Hanapepe.
She was preceded in death by parents Kazuyoshi and Matsuyo Horibe and sister Kathryn (Karl) Kubo.
She is survived by husband Robert Agustin Sr., children Robert Agustin Jr. and Joy (Ivan) Miller, brothers Lester (May) Horibe and James Horibe, two grandchildren, and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Private services will be held in the future.
