HONOLULU — State Senate President Ronald D. Kouchi recently announced the release of $4,775,000 in funding for capital improvement projects on Kaua‘i.
HONOLULU — State Senate President Ronald D. Kouchi recently announced the release of $4,775,000 in funding for capital improvement projects on Kaua‘i.
The governor released monies for the following CIP projects:
• $3,900,000 for permanent repairs to the Kuhio Highway bridge over the Wailua River;
• $450,000 for improvements at Kapa‘a High School;
• $325,000 to repair and resurface the playcourt at Kilauea School;
• $100,000 for road improvements on Waimea Canyon Drive/Koke‘e Road.
“I want to thank the governor for releasing these critical funds that will help repair and improve infrastructure for our keiki and the residents of Kaua‘i,” said Kouchi. “As we endeavor to recover from the economic impact of COVID-19, these projects will provide much-needed jobs to those in our community.”
