LIHU‘E — The county Department of Parks & Recreation announced that registration for the county’s Winter Fun program begins at 8 a.m. today via the website kauairecreation.org/wbwsc/webtrac.wsc/wbsplash.html?wbp=1.
The program runs from Monday, Dec. 21 to Thursday, Dec. 31, weekdays from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and is open to children 5 to 11 years old.
The Christmas Day holiday will be observed on Friday, Dec. 25.
Program sites include the Lihu‘e and Kalaheo neighborhood center.
Masks are required, and social-distancing guidelines will be observed.
The cost of enrollment is $50 per child, and does not include lunch.
All major credit cards are accepted for payment, as are debit and pre-paid credit cards.
Enrollment is limited, and will be handled on a first-come, first-served basis.
Parents or guardians will need to provide lunch, beverages and snacks for their children on a daily basis.
