PUHI — In mid-October, Puni Nani Pools & Spa Inc., moved their business to a new location less than a mile away, on 1895 Haleukani street, in the Puhi Industrial Park on Kaua‘i.
“Lance and Sarah did an awesome job renovating the new location and in such a quick turnaround,” said employee Heather Couchman. “It looks amazing.”
General Manager and President Sarah Kaneko are grateful for their clients and amidst the pandemic was able to purchase the building they moved into.
“Our current location has served us well over the years, but we are very excited about this opportunity,” Kaneko said.
Dennis Oliver started the company in a back room in Poipu in 1973. A few years later Puni Nani moved to the side garage of the medical clinic in Koloa (currently Dr. Murray’s office).
Kaneko said Dennis had a vision for the company’s expansion and was able to move the company into a larger more central location when we moved to the old ice house in Puhi (currently FM-97). Then in 1988 we moved to our current location.
Late last year the Lance Kaneko (Sarah’s husband) and Sarah became aware that the Hawthorne CAT building in the Puhi Industrial Center was for sale.
“We made an offer and are delighted to report that we closed escrow in January 2020,” Kaneko said.
“We are very appreciative of our customers, employees, and vendors,” Kaneko said. “Their support is great.”
This year marks the 47th year in business for Puni Nani Pools & Spa Inc on Kaua‘i.
