PUHI — Officials have announced that the County of Kaua‘i will no longer participate in co-hosting the Kaua‘i Made Holiday Fair on Saturday, Nov. 21, at Puhi Park Produce.
The weekly Grove Farm Puhi Park Produce market, which occurs separately from the county-sponsored Kaua‘i Made Holiday Fair, will continue as scheduled.
“In an abundance of caution, as the county closely monitors our recent rise in COVID-19 cases and the potential to move tier levels, we have decided to cancel our participation in Saturday’s event,” said Nalani Brun, director of the county Office of Economic Development.
“While organizers have planned this event with every safety precaution in mind and have ensured that all aspects fall within the current rules of the state and county, we endeavor to lead others by example,” she said.
“Therefore, to avoid further anxiety in our community, we ultimately feel it would be best to cancel our sponsored portion of this event. We thank all involved for their patience and understanding. The Office of Economic Development is already working on opportunities to support our local crafters and small businesses moving forward.”
