Traveler numbers don’t add up
For the first week of re-opened travel the State said there were 66,644 visitors to the Islands.
Of those, 41,783 tested negative for the virus. One would assume that 25,000 would be in the 2 week quarantine then? The State says 7,500 are in quarantine. What happened to the other 17,500? The State did also say that some visitors arrived with the wrong test.
So did 17,500 visitors take the next flight out?

Vote Green
The reality is that there are fifty separate elections held in November for POTUS. In the United States’ electoral system, we do not choose our POTUS via the popular vote, however by the Electoral College. In the close to forty States which are not competitive, the outcome is already known! This includes Hawai’i; the Democrat candidate will receive 60+% of the votes. In the last three elections, the Democrat candidate received 61%, 70% and 71%; thus with our winner-take-all system they were awarded all four electoral votes. When one votes for who they want, rather than only against who they do not want, the outcome is not changed.
The Green Party of Hawai’i [GPH] is built on ten Key Values and the four Pillars of Grassroots Democracy, Social Justice, Peace and Ecology. While many people in this upcoming POTUS election are guided by fear in voting against the current incumbent, the GPH also strongly advocates standing up and voting with courage by voting Green. Climate change is the most important issue in this election. Future generations depend on big bold policies; plus by being brave and standing up to the corporate stranglehold of our nation and the limiting two party system.
Without a truly progressive candidate also on the ballot, which we are fortunate to have here in Hawai’i, the alternative to the current POTUS is pushed toward more conservative policy positions. This means less available for education, housing, healthcare, social programs, employment, and worse, the environment.
Do not throw away nor waste your vote and just vote against a candidate. Vote your ideals, vote your truth, vote for the future of our Country. Make a strategic, positive vote for our future and for the future generations of your children and your childrens’ children. Make a positive vote. Vote Green.

Do not vote Green unless you want 4 more years of Trump
Do NOT vote Green! Vote Biden!
I applaud the Green Party for existing and for making a statement. However, it is SO important to send tRump a message by beating him with the greatest number of votes. He, and his minions, must be humiliated at the polls, or he will fight to stay, claiming the election was rigged.
Biden leans green and will be pushed further greenward by progressive senators and reps like Bernie and Elizabeth and AOC.
Vote Biden. Dump tRump.
Nice try Nick! Go Green? Really? It sounds so good to those who “feel” their way to logic, instead of using their brain as it was intended. “Go Red” will get you, your family and future generations to the better place you desire!
Yeah. Those numbers are misleading. They just stayed the extra 14 day quarantine against their will. Most of them not on Kaua’i.
Really Nick? A vote for independent is a waste of time, at least in a presidential election. Reality is that we are a two party system. Independent candidates just siphon votes away from the Democratic candidate. Most people voting republican are pretty set in their ways. If idealists like yourself looked at reality and just voted Democrat, where people at least believe in simple science and rather have green policies instead of giving money to oil execs, then maybe we wouldn’t have had a man child in office for the past 4 years.
All I have to say with the numbers not adding up and this whole mess is:
“Its gonna get wild”
Wear your mask people
Vote Trump For Prison 2021.
Vote Green, Vote Biden.
Never mind the 3rd Party this time around, this one it too important.
