Did Michelle Lemi (she’s a Kaua‘i football official) make it to Kaumakani on time (she must’ve because when Kaua‘i Pop Warner Football League games play, the first games are always early) for the second football officials and Kaua‘i Independent Food Bank distribution (next one is Thursday afternoon at The Shops at Kukui‘ula) at the Aloha Sweet Delites — great half moons — parking lot.

Teddy Arroyo and his KPWFL crew (Ginny Agena got to meet Warren Haruki in person) were not in Kaumakani, but at the Puhi Park Produce to help with the final Great Pumpkin Giveaway, where Macee Martinez was able to get a pumpkin before helping with one of the selfie stations at Kukui Grove Center (even Melissa McFerrin-Warrack was able to get an early buy on her veggies before finalizing the Kukui Grove Halloween setup). It was so busy even Ron Wiley came out to spark the caravan that honked their way down Nawiliwili Road.
Morgan Lopez had her new Hawai‘i USA Federal Credit Union shirt on while helping at the Hawai‘i Foodbank Kaua‘i Branch Kokua No Ka ‘Ohana pop-up food distribution (next one is Thursday morning at St. Raphael Church in Koloa) that was held in partnership with the Kaua‘i Filipino Community Council (kudos to Charlmaine Bulosan and Marynel Valenzuela on a great job). Virgie Sagisi was at the Great Pumpkin Giveaway before coming to get her food, and Barbara Green is looking for the day the Kaua‘i Filipino Women’s Club can do the Terno Ball again.
What a crazy, busy weekend (and it’s not even counting the Gather Federal Credit Union sold-out golf tournament where Jack Harter’s helicopter announced the day at 8 a.m. at the Puakea Golf Course) done in compliance with the COVID-19 safety measures.
