Alfred Calangan Lardizabal
Alfred Calangan Lardizabal passed away on Sept. 11, 2020, at the age of 82 in Honolulu. He was born on May 15, 1938, on the island of O‘ahu. Kaua‘i and O‘ahu were his home. Alfred was currently employed with UPW as a Government Affairs Officer.
Alfred was preceded in death by his father Mauricio Lardizabal Sr, mother Annie Macose, brother Glenn Lardizabal.
Alfred is survived by his wife of 55 years Heide Hensen Lardizabal, son Perry(Dee) Lardizabal, daughter Sonya(Jess) Lardizabal Quel, siblings Maurice(Florence) Lardizabal Jr, Carmen(Robert) Mercado, Charlene (Thomas) Arita, Maureen (Zachary) Octavio, Scott Lardizabal, grandchildren Ashley (Kevin) Cremer, Mariah Pai, Kaileen Lardizabal, great-grandchildren Kaisen Yanos, Braden and Kaylee Ramos, best friend Cynthia Apana, sister-in-law Rosel(David) Holthaus, extended ‘ohana Kailee Loa Sugihara, Mikelle Quel, Tina (Burelle) and Duke Alamillo, Roy Tabar, Michelle, Hannah, Makana McDermott, Essa Emelio, numerous other family members and life long friends.
Celebrations of Life will be held on O‘ahu, from 2 to 4 p.m. on Nov. 1, 2020, at Central Seventh Day Adventist Church in Nuuanu. The Kaua‘i celebration will be announced at a later date.
Mary Elizabeth Sharratt
Mary Elizabeth Sharratt, 60, of Hanalei, passed away at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on Oct. 3, 2020. She was born in Laredo, Texas on June 22, 1960. She is an Air Force veteran that served in Desert Storm and later became the assistant of the Kahu at the Wai‘oli Hui‘ia Church in Hanalei.
Mary was preceded in death by her mother Hannah R. Stone.
Mary is survived by her husband Mark Sharratt, son Michael Sears, daughters Michelle Prater and Melissa Schneider, father James Stone, sisters Cynthia Stone, Carol Mast and Melanie Stone Lavelle, 3 grandchildren and numerous other family.
A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Kaua‘i Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
Takako Martha Morita
Takako Martha Morita passed away on Oct. 9, 2020, at the age of 96 in Kapa‘a. She was born on Jan. 4, 1924 in Kona.
Takako was preceded in death by her husband Reverend Isamu Morita and parents Miyako and Yahei Murakami.
Private services to be held.
Garden Island Mortuary assisted the family with arrangements.
