LIHU‘E — Ballots for the 2020 general election are being mailed to registered voters in the County of Kaua‘i Friday.
The majority of voters should receive their ballots within four to five days. Voters who have not received ballots by Friday, Oct. 16 should contact the Office of the County Clerk Elections Division at 241-4800.
Ballot envelopes have purple graphics and the official U.S. Postal Service Election Mail logo.
After voting, voters are urged to return their signed ballots as soon as possible by placing them in the U.S. mail or depositing them in any of the following ballot drop boxes: Princeville, Kapa‘a, Kalaheo and Hanapepe fire stations, Hanalei, Kilauea, Koloa and Waimea neighborhood centers, and the Elections Division office in the annex of the Historic County Building in Lihu‘e.
The drop boxes are available on and after Monday, Oct. 12.
Ballots can be hand-delivered to the Elections Division office weekdays from 7:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and on Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 3, when the office will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Ballots must be received by 7 p.m. on Election Day to be counted.
