NAWILIWILI — The Kaua‘i Veterans Council is hosting a golf tournament, Nov. 8 at the Ocean Course at Hokuala to make up the disrupted revenue stream caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
“This has been a challenging year to say the least,” said Barth Thomas, the Kaua‘i Veterans Center and Museum Jr. Vice Commander. “Like so many businesses and nonprofit organizations, COVID-19 forced us to cancel many events for our veterans and the community, including our Memorial Day, Fourth of July Veterans Roundup, and the Veterans Day Parade, and Veterans Day observance. As veterans, we are used to facing challenges head-on, adapting and overcoming. This is why we are hosting a Veterans Day Golf Tournament.”
Registration is limited to just 72 golfers playing a 4-Person Modified Scramble and is $125 per player with discounts available for veterans. Sponsorship packages are also available by calling 246-1135, or email kauaiveteranscenter@gmail.com. The tournament gets underway with a shotgun start at 8 a.m.
Registration and sponsorship packages are available at www.kauaiveteranscenter.org.
