Did you get your golf ball yet?
Did you get your golf ball yet?
There is still time to get “lucky” golf balls for the first golf-ball drop benefiting the Kaua‘i United Way that will take place Sunday at the Hokuala Ocean Course (no live, this is a virtual thing because of the pandemic rules and guidelines). Your lucky ball can get a share of the prize pot that includes a $1,500 cash grand prize.
And, there’s no more room for the Contractors Association of Kaua‘i golf tournament that will take up the Hokuala Ocean Course (Kellie Hines is going to be busy this weekend) Saturday with a shotgun start at 8 a.m.
There’s still time to sign up for the first Veterans Day golf tournament when golfers do a shotgun start at the Hokuala Ocean Course on Sunday, Nov. 8, starting at 8 a.m. That is the weekend the annual Veterans Day Parade would’ve taken place. It was canceled due to the pandemic.
There’s still time to get your flu shot ahead of the flu season so you minimize the risk of getting the influenza that shares similar symptoms to the novel coronavirus. Check out those places that have the “Free” signs, and for the kids in school, call 241-3410 to schedule your appointment for the free Stop Flu at School clinics, where you can see those fabulous state Department of Health Kaua‘i District Health Office angels hard at work.
Kudos to the county Department of Water on the “Imagine a Day Without Water” giveaway (and yes, I recognize Jonell Kaohelauli‘i and Jason Fujinaka behind the masks). The activity kits make wonderful lessons for distance learning, and parents get the various low-flow, water-saving kitchen faucet adapters and showerheads.
OK, it’s time to check out the vice presidential debate.
