Officials posted new shark warning signs at Kaimana Beach in Waikiki and Waimea Bay on the North Shore.
Officials say they spotted a 4- to 5-foot (1.2 to 1.5 meters) shark about 40 yards (37 meters) off the shore of Kaimana Beach.
Signs were posted at Kaimana Beach for three consecutive days starting Sept. 16 after two sharks about 4- to 5-feet (1.2 to 1.5 meters) in length were seen feeding on a school of fish 20 yards (18 meters) off the shore.
Lifeguards at Waimea Bay spotted a 6- to 7-foot (1.8 to 2.1 meter) shark that was exhibiting aggressive behavior roughly 20 yards (18 meters) offshore, the Honolulu Star-Advertiser reported.
