Center for Spiritual Living Kaua‘i, celebrating its seventh year on island, will present Kaua‘i’s first-ever live telethon on Saturday, Sept. 19, to raise funds for the center’s expansion efforts.
“With our lease up for renewal this fall, we are focused on upgrading our facility while continuing to provide inspiration to our local community and beyond,” said Rev. Rita Andriello, who noted that since the start of the pandemic, CSL Kaua‘i has had many people from both on and off-island tuning in and donating every week during its livestream Sunday services.
The event will be live-streamed from CSL Kauai’s “Broadcasting Studio” in the East Kauai Professional building will be from 10 a.m to 3:30 p.m on the CSLKauai.org website and CSL Kauai’s Facebook page.
“We are so grateful to the many talented musicians and inspired speakers who are so generously donating their time and talent to help CSL Kauai’s growth efforts and provide top-notch entertainment for our telethon,” noted Rev. Patrick Feren, who along with CSL Trustee Charles Woolfork, will emcee the show in the spirit of telethons of yesteryear.
The telethon fun-raiser will feature five-and-a-half hours of non-stop entertainment featuring: Jivan Hertzog, the Sacred Earth Choir, Jonathan Lee, Reverend Patrick Feren, Reverend Rita Andriello, Kumu Sabra Kauka, Reverend Dr. Peggy Price, among others.
“The telethon idea is the perfect entertainment vehicle during a pandemic — it enables the artists a chance to perform in a safe space while keeping everyone else safe and providing a fun and exciting experience for all involved — especially our viewers and donors!” noted Rev. Andriello.
