Helen Chieko Pruitt Okamoto
Helen Chieko Pruitt Okamoto, of Lihue, passed away peacefully on May 15, 2020. She was born on Jan. 25, 1925, in Lihue, to Masaichi and Hanayo Ishii Sasaki. She was a homemaker.
Helen is survived by her sister Flora Cox, sister-in-law Mildred Sasaki of Lihue, numerous nieces and nephews.
Private services will be held at a later date.
Kauai Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
Toni Jayne Evans Duarte
Toni Jayne Evans Duarte, 62, of Koloa, passed away suddenly on Aug. 21, 2020. She was born in Sutton Coldfield, England on Aug. 18, 1958, and worked on Kaua‘i as a registered nurse.
Toni is preceded in death by her father John Evans.
She is survived by her mother Ellen Evans, daughters, Cheyenne Duarte, Parris Zina, son Pascal Zina, husband Bernard Duarte, Jr., brother Michael Evans, sister-in-law Judy Evans; nieces Christine Evans, Jennifer Delgado, numerous other friends and family members.
Private family services have been held.
