Charles L. Looney
Charles L. Looney, 76, of Lihu‘e, passed away on Sept. 4, 2020, at his home. He was born in Shreveport, Louisiana, on Feb. 17, 1944. He worked for the federal government Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
He was preceded in death by Joan and his parents Charles and Emily Looney.
He is survived by loving companion Sonia Song, son Sean (Meredith McCauley) Looney, daughter Sarah (Arnis) Ronis, brothers Terry, Tim and David Looney, sisters Kathy Sylvie and Eileen Urso and three grandchildren.
A private celebration of life will be held in the future.
Kaua‘i Memorial Gardens &Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Emily Torres Dela Torre
Emily Torres Dela Torre, of Kekaha, passed away on Sept. 8, 2020. She was born on May 1, 1931, in New Mill.
She was preceded in death by husband Jody Dela Torre and brothers Daldo, Saba and Johnny Torres, sister Mary Coyaso and their parents.
She is survived by daughters Toni Newlon and Annette Kim, five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, all of California.
Memorial services may be held at a later date in 2021.
